Hello! I'm Beth and I love to crochet & do other crafts. I started crocheting when I was a little girl. I learned to make a granny square. I made everything you could think of out of grannies. Then when I was 13, my aunt opened my eyes to a whole other way to crochet. I learned other stitches & how to read patterns! I made crocheted gifts for the whole family.
Jump ahead a few years... I met & married my husband and had two sons. I began to do craft shows that the school & church hosted as fundraisers. My friend convinced me to share booths with her and we did shows for about two years.
It became more difficult to do the shows as my boys got older and we discovered our younger son is autistic. So I opened a mini-mall booth in Denton, Texas. I've been selling there for about 15 years now. I did some flea marketing with my in-laws. I sold vintage jewelry & purses.
My friend turned me on to eBay. She sold a wallet for me then told me where to go to learn to make my own listings. Jewelry was pretty difficult to photograph and purses had a high chance of being counterfeit, so I discovered that selling books was more my style. Easy to photograph especially with a flatbed scanner. Besides I love books! I also love taking pictures of stuffed animals & puppets. So now books & gifts are my main focus. Sometimes I sell my crafts too. I have left eBay to sell on ecrater.
Another friend I met on the message boards on eBay told me about Etsy. I joined and am having a ball over there! Low fees high exposure, friendly atmosphere, and it's all crafts & vintage items! I belong to two street teams on Etsy one is Team Etsy Tx and the other is Old World Shops.
Some may wonder how I picked the name of my store. I have have a huge elephant collection. I used to sell at flea markets and carried my merchandise around in the trunk of my car. So I use the trunk pun and rhymed it with fun & I came up with A trunk-Full O' Fun!
